It seems the time has come for me to upload some honest-to-god content to devart. In the past I've just use this site to browse, upload the occasional photography and generally to loiter. At one point I was very close to uploading one of the few sketches I had done, but it was about 80% done when I decided it was not for critical eyes. This was years ago, however, and I've realized that without criticism I'll never improve my work. However, this time it won't be a drawing.

Those who know me know that I've just gotten through what could arguably have been the worst month of my life. I was never close to suicidal thoughts, but if it weren't for my extremely supportive friends I wouldn't have recovered nearly as well as I have, and I'm grateful for that.

I've been wanting to take on some sort of writing project lately, but none of my ideas have seemed feasible. My mind isn't entirely creative, unfortunately, so a work of original fiction would be a huge undertaking for me. Fan fiction has crossed my mind, which would remove some of the more difficult aspects, but writing on an existing universe on characters that I may not understand seemed somewhat dry. The idea came a few days ago to simply write about my life. It seemed like the perfect solution: It wouldn't be too small or too big of a project, the characters already exist but I understand the protagonist (mostly ), and it seemed like a good way to finalize all of this.

I haven't begun work on it yet, however, since I'm smack in the middle of exams and they require my full attention. I'm not sure how the upload process will go once I begin. I could either work on it in sections and upload them individually, or just do it all and upload it in it's entirety... Well I suppose I'll just play it by ear.

Maybe no one will read this, or my uploads, but I'll just say that I look forward to your -constructive- criticism, and improving my writing through this project. I'd appreciate it if the audience would stay away from comments such as, "GO CUT YOUR WRISTS, EMO!" and the like

I'm not sure when the first section will be uploaded, or, as I mentioned before, if sections will be uploaded individually at all. The plot line is obviously already set, but I havn't decided how much detail I'll decide to put into the exposition and such. Well, until then...
